Government Affairs and/or Political Survival Fund
Contact Cindy Zahler
303-688-0941 cindy@derarealtors.com
Now more than ever, our industry is subject to regulations and proposed laws that can
Make your life as a REALTOR® difficult. Whether it’s an overly restrictive sign ordinance, a proposed increase in the document fee that makes real estate closings more expensive, or even an idea to cap real estate commissions, bad ideas are everywhere that could hurt our industry. Here’s your chance to help.
DERA is looking for interested REALTORS® that want to work on these types of issues and help keep government off our backs and out of our wallets. Volunteer to serve on the Government Affairs Committee or the Political Survival Fund (PSF) Committee and help make a difference. The Government Affairs Committee reviews local city and county issues and proposals that impact our business. They make recommendations to the DERA Board of Directors on policy positions and strategies to benefit the real estate industry. The PSF Committee helps raise and use contributions that support candidates and ballot issues that have a direct impact on real estate. Each of these committees is very rewarding professionally, since you’ll be involved in the issues that matter most to all of us.
Come on – get involved!
